now that the rest of the original housemates were already ousted from the big brother house, on February 4, 2006… the new edition of Pinoy Big Brother willl finally be aired on Channel 2…

heck… i was so addicted the last time… and now i am ready to crave for more….

Pbbceleb1 the new installment of the super duper publicized reality tv show is a little bit different from the first PBB… because now, the new housemates are not ordinary people… they are  actually "celebrities" in their own fields (actors, actresss, athletes etc etc) hence the title PINOY BIG BROTHER CELEBRITY EDITION (boy, i cant wait any longer!!!)

now here are the clues (www.pinoybigbrother.com ) the 9 celebrities who will enter the house of kuya (brother)

Celebrity housemate #1 is a former childstar turned teenage heartthrob. Despite his looks, this certified cutie has experienced so many heartaches in his complicated lovelife. Aside from being a hearthrob, this guy really knows how to groove on the dance floor.

MY GUESS FOR THIS ONE IS JOHN PRATS

Celebrity housemate #2 is a well-known sexy star that had been involved in a lot of Showbiz scandals and controversies that did not only shock her family but also the whole country.

MY GUESS FOR MS. SEXY STAR IS KEANA REEVES

Celebrity housemate #3 is a male underwear fashion model, who entices girls with his "macho" body. This model is expected to “fire up” things in Kuya’s house.

MY GUESS FOR THIS MR. BRIEF BOY IS CARLOS AGASSI

Celebrity housemate #4 is a female TV host who happens to be an unwed mother. Celebrity housemate #5 is a true blue musician known for his unique style in music. Celebrity housemate #6 is a girl next door actress and a certified crush ng bayan.

Celebrity housemate #7 is very different from the other housemates. His fans love him not for his looks but for his big, cool voice. This well-known radio personality also has what it takes to be a crush ng bayan.

Celebrity housemate #8 is an astig sporty girl! She’s an athlete who brought honor to the country by winning a medal in the South East Asian Games.

Celebrity Housemate #9 is also an athlete. This guy, who has reaped success in numerous sporting events (cycling, swimming, etc), is not only known in the country but in the whole of

ARAGUY!!!

i just had my intramuscular injection

(EXPLANATION)

intramuscular injection, is the administration of drugs through our muscles (that’s why it was called, intraMUSCULAR)… it was done by injecting the needle 90 degrees over the skin (subcutaneous injection uses 45 degrees and skin test has its needle parallel to the skin)

i just had it right now, and talaga naman araguy!!!, it was really painful… soooo painful…

contrary to the popular belief that the pain is made by the insertion of needle, the pain is actually because of the SUDDEN GUSH OF LIQUID inside your body… so there is a very big difference between a parenteral administration (injection) and an acupuncture (which the needles were only inserted in your skin and just that)…

i was not actually planning to write anything, but since there were certain things that happenened to me this week that were not anticipated…

WEDNESDAY

I was going home when I heard that there was a cultural exchange presentation between the delegates from Andong National University and the Education PE Majors…

i learned that the koreans came here last january 14 and they will stay until late february… they were here to learn how to speak english… (which is really interesting, i can’t believe that there were people who’re willing to  pay so much and travel such a very long distance just to learn the language, cant they learn it all by themselves?).

now back to the cultural exchange…

so, my schoolmates showcased their singing and dancing skills (both in folk and modern genre)…

then, the koreans…

i was intently listening to the korean speaker as she told us what they’re  going to perform… she said, "this type of stretching is really popular in korea"

Untitled_5 and i was like… " Ano daw? did she say STRETCHING? is she serious?"… well i was not mistaken… most  of them afterall, which were all male performers, were wearing jogging pants and white sweat shirts(the delegates were more or less than thirty and according to what  i observed there were only two girls with them, including the speaker)

and so that’s what they did…

they stretch their arms here…

while their leader, a tall bespectacled guy in his early twenties, count (i dont really know if he really did count because he was speaking in korean, and all that i heard was repetitive grunting sort of noise)

they stretched their arms there…

they stretched their hips here…

they stretched their hips there…

they jumped here…

they jumped there…

We just cant help but laugh. And they were, I think, enjoying all the attention.

after that we gave them a very loud and crispy applause… they deserve it, don’t you think?…

THURSDAY

i slept the whole day, my time was 7:30-10:30 am only, because our lit professor was terrible to us… he was so mean!!!

FRIDAY

my philippine history professor is just awesome… (one day, i’ll write something about the philippine history here) i just had a really great time listenintg to him…

at 2, i went to my PE class… i dont believe it, our professor was teaching us Cha Cha… (heck, why not, my PE is ballroom dancing)…

i dunno how to dance and the worse part is… i have a partner and she was exrtremely annoyed… she kept on saying that we’re going to fail the subject… i just cant really dance… ARGH!

after school, i met three of my former high school classmates..

MR Z

he was my classmate when i was in third year, i was walking to the bus terminal when suddely someone stepped on my shoe… i turned around and immediately saw him…

he took economics in UP… i walked with him while we exchange our life stories after we parted ways. he was my seatmate anyway. i found out that he is now a proud father , and he is now taking a course in a college somewhere here in bataan…

just as what i expected, nothing has change, he still brags a lot, he still laughs like a goat and he is still smart as usual… and he still enjoy making fun of the same classmates that we had had… i really enjoyed reliving our high school life.

MR ELECTRON

we met him in the bus, with MR JERICO… he was my classmate all througout my high school years. though we met a couple of times last year, this was the first time this year… he was also my seatmate (from sophomore until the graduation day)

he has now an overgrown and curly goatee on his chin…

MR JERICO

my classmate when I was in first year… we talked a little…

he is still that tall…

barber cue chapter 3

January 23, 2006

The following exaggerated blog happened last Sunday evening

After many weeks of seclusion, I finally found myself again in that familiar place, -the barbershop.

I always dread for this day to come, because I know that once again, I’ll have another set of a heated argument with him, - the barber… since we can say that the shop is his place, his territory, his kingdom, his planet, it seems that I will always play the part of a loser in every argument.

But not anymore, I reckon, no I don’t just reckon, it is indeed the time to finally assert myself… even if this means blood (bwahahahaha)… I am now going to tell him, I mean order him, to cut my bangs short…

I entered the building. I didn’t say “good evening, may you please cut my hair,” Scissors_559c_1 it was already obvious why I was there… I sat on that rickety barber chair and goggled at the barber (through the mirror) as he cut the hairs on the back, the sides and on the top of my head… again, he forgot or should I say, he intentionally forgot to reduce the length of my bangs… or rather the hairs on my forehead that he left untouched to cover my (according to him) super, duper, mega, humongous problem- my gigantic forehead (hey it is not that big!!!!!!!!!).

I told him (in a very POLITE manner) “ will you please trim down my… ahem… bangs?” (I gave a distinctive inflection when I said the word BANGS).

He trimmed it down until it was just… JUST… a millimeter LESS long….

Again I insisted… he made some whining noise but he still trimmed them down. But as usual, I was not satisfied… I again asked him, but now he declined the idea….

I tried to argue respectfully since he is an old man, but he still insisted his piece.. until later on, we begun to quarrel.

“Trim them down, now."

5049540110946s_1 “haven’t I told you before, that I eat children who squabble with me to cut their bangs?”

so, he’s pulling that one on me again, that’s why I said… “old man, do you honestly think that that threatens me?”

“oh no… I am not threatening you, I am just merely stating a fact…KIDDO”

when he said that, I immediately lose my temper… I jumped to him and punched him on the face as we both fell on floor… and to my surprise, he was laughing…
“now you’re really looking for trouble”… he held my collar and lifted me on the spot… he grinned wickedly and threw me on the wall..

“now do you still want me to cut your bangs short…?”

I surrendered…

I raised the white flag..

And I paid him for a “job well done”

my deltoid muscle cramps….

OOOOUUUCCCHHH!!! (hey looks like im singing a different tune now, im not AArrgghhing anymore ahihihi)

Untitled_3 we just had our return demonstration for subcutaneous administration of drugs. this means that we have to INJECT the medication SUBCUTANEOUSLY (through the fatty layer of the skin). we didn’t expect that we will perform it today, we thought that it’ll be tomorrow, that’s why we were really shocked when they (our professors-plural) announced that it was today…

although we already performed intradermal administration (skin test) last week, we were still very  nervous because subcutaneous injection opened a new vista of pain infliction… (skin testing is only done on the thinnest and outermost part of the skin, it is not that painful)… and another thing, our mind and body were not that ready to do it… honestly, i don’t know what to do… so i reviewed alll my notes hastily tho i did not practice it because it will make our arms giddy and painful and there might be a big chance that we might not make it during the actual practical exam…

still, i think i really did a great job…

i am so proud of myself… it was my first time, yet i didn’t make any mistakes…

manny your the man

January 22, 2006

hahaha

manny pacquiao finally beat erik morales!!!

i thank god for answering my prayer… i prayed sooo hard during the start of the first round, and during the 2nd, i knew that it’ll be answered… erik was almost knocked out during the 2nd and 6th round… and on the tenth, the referee finally stopped the game after erik morales was knocked out the second time…

this is one of the many moments when i am, or we are, once again proud to be filipinos… no im not saying that im not happy being one, but , if you’ll just look at how the philippine politics is running and about the terrorists groups here, hey, it is just nice to know that there are certain things that we can be and should be poud of… and that is manny "pacman" pacquiao..

hail to you..

and may god bless you…
