my deltoid muscle cramps….
OOOOUUUCCCHHH!!! (hey looks like im singing a different tune now, im not AArrgghhing anymore ahihihi)
we just had our return demonstration for subcutaneous administration of drugs. this means that we have to INJECT the medication SUBCUTANEOUSLY (through the fatty layer of the skin). we didn’t expect that we will perform it today, we thought that it’ll be tomorrow, that’s why we were really shocked when they (our professors-plural) announced that it was today…
although we already performed intradermal administration (skin test) last week, we were still very nervous because subcutaneous injection opened a new vista of pain infliction… (skin testing is only done on the thinnest and outermost part of the skin, it is not that painful)… and another thing, our mind and body were not that ready to do it… honestly, i don’t know what to do… so i reviewed alll my notes hastily tho i did not practice it because it will make our arms giddy and painful and there might be a big chance that we might not make it during the actual practical exam…
still, i think i really did a great job…
i am so proud of myself… it was my first time, yet i didn’t make any mistakes…
