I must be dying
January 27, 2009
I was listening, I guess last week, on a Radio Show when a Nurse called. The topic was about kissing and the Nurse relates how she not so in the hype with torrid kissing. She was like, “I imagine all the germs that can be transferred with kissing.” And I guess that’s what happens when you know too much. As with me, ater I went to college, I never let a beggar or a street child touch me, I never touch the railings on escalators and stairs, I never hold the door knobs in public restrooms, and I even get irritated sometimes when I have to lean on buses’ windows. One time I even rushed myself to the hospital to undergo an appendectomy only to be laughed at by some mediocre midwives since according to them I didn’t even “pain enough.” [READ MORE]
Train Man (Densha Otoko)

The first reference I had about the Train Man (Densha Otoko) was when it was mentioned in one movie review of the Korean film My Sassy Girl. I made a mental note that I have to watch the film. I planned to read it throughout the Holidays last December but I didn’t have the chance to do so. [READ MORE]
Something We Never Share with the Mice
January 7, 2009
When I was younger, I once saw an experiment about mice in an Educational TV. The test was about the effect of drastic increase in population and the sudden scarcity of rations in food in the social behavior of rats. The little documentary first showed a very small group of mice happily living together in a frolicsome environment where overcrowding and food crisis is totally unheard of; then the camera focused on an overcrowded cage of mice given only with limited supply of grains. Soon, the competition for space and food in the latter set up became fierce. The mice in the second group became more aggressive and irritable until such time that they resorted to infanticides and cannibalism. [READ MORE]
This is how I spent my holidays
December 24, 2008
My sisters cannot celebrate Christmas with us; so instead, we went to their house to celebrate Christmas with them. I finally received the book, Train Man (translated version of the book Densha Otoko), which I asked my sister to buy for me. For awhile I thought that she’d give it to me as a Christmas gift but then she still asked for the payment. I decided not to read it yet.

Since we didn’t really prepare for Christmas, we have initially planned to spend the day at the Star City but since Glorietta is nearer we chose otherwise. While we were strolling along, I saw an eight-year old girl in pink dress. For awhile I thought she was just wearing an ultra uncomfortable dress as she scratched herself until I discerned a bulging figure on her chest. It seems like she put a pair of golf balls under her shirt. She kept on cupping the artificial breast to keep them in placed and caressing the area where her breasts’ cleavage should have been. It was incredibly funny. And when she finally realized that we were looking at her she made an obvious attempt to push her chest outward to make the area look fuller and I guess more noticeable.[READ MORE]
